We don't believe in "one size fits all." The gowns at Kiss Kouture are in a wide variety of sizes, from sizes 00 to 26. We strongly believe that every customer should feel comfortable and have many beautiful options to try on when she's shopping for the dress.

No. Kiss Kouture is not a consignment or resale store. We do not purchase pre-worn gowns.

Yes. If you would like to try on prom dresses, we ask that you make an appointment so that we have one of our talented Kiss Kouture Consultants available to work with you and so that we can make sure we have a fitting room open for you. Prom/Wedding gown appointments require a total of 2 hours – 1 ½ hours for you to try on dresses and place your order and 30 minutes to disinfect and air out for health reasons. That means we have a certain number of time slots available on our busiest days of the week and book the calendar in a way that maximizes the number of customers we can accommodate.
That being said, we welcome all of our prom/wedding customers and their families with open arms, and are always excited when someone walks into the boutique with or without an appointment. If you drop in with no appointment and someone is available to work with you, we absolutely will take you. Keep in mind that all scheduled appointments are our highest priority! That said, we think we do our best work and give you the best experience when we have time to plan, so we ask that you make an appointment by clicking on appointments, or calling us at 313-740-7404.
We currently request that appointments include no more than four guests to ensure the best possible shopping experience and personalized attention.
While we love little ones, we know a 90-minute appointment can feel like an eternity to kiddos—and bored little kiddos are often disruptive and distracting little kiddos. Also, while we strive to make the dress shopping as comfortable and safe as possible, the reality of working in a formal salon means lots of loose pins, needles, and other small objects that can quickly become safety hazards in little hands. If you'd like to involve your child(ren) in your gown shopping experience, we invite you to bring them to your final fitting where they can get the full "princess" experience without all the waiting.
Of course! We just ask that you wait until you've narrowed down your choices to no more than 2 dresses. Taking photos of every dress really slows down the appointment and we want you to have time to try on all the dresses you want. Besides, no one wants a bunch of pictures of dresses they don't even like cluttering up their phone, right???
We require a credit card number to reserve your appointment time slot, but it is not charged unless you cancel less than 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment or do not show, your credit card will be charged $50. The reason for this cancellation fee is that the prep work associated with a formal gown appointment to make it special for you requires at least 24 hours, and we are unable to fill that slot if you cancel less than 24 hours before. However, if you re-book an appointment and subsequently buy a wedding dress from us at that later date, you can put the $50 cancellation fee towards that purchase.

Yes, Kiss Kouture does have Layaway. A down payment of $100 is required for gowns under $400 after taxes. And a down payment of $150 is required for gowns between $400 – $600.00 after taxes. A down payment of $200 is required for gowns over $600.
As a formal gown store that offers many selections of prom gowns, we register all of the girls that purchase gowns from Kiss Kouture in our Prom Registry to ensure gown exclusivity.
Prom Registry is a database system that we have integrated with our system for local and non-local schools so that we may keep track of what gowns we have sold to girls going to Prom. Prom Registry lets us know when helping choose that perfect gown if someone will have the same gown as you. If the gown is already registered, we won't sell it again to someone else, EVEN if it is in a totally different color and size.
